| Description | : BCIT has earned a reputation for producing job-ready graduates in Renewable Resources since the school's beginning in 1964. In order to meet the ongoing needs of our students and industry, BCIT established a Forest Engineering Technology distance education program in 1992. This program is of interest to a substantial number of people who enrol in courses simply because of their interest in the subject material, while others enrol to gain practical knowledge and skills that they can apply directly to their job. The last group of learners enrol in courses to gain credits towards an Associate Certificate, an Intermediate Certificate, or a Certificate of Forest Engineering Technology. In all cases these people are part of a lifelong learning movement.
