| Description | : The Department of Theatre Arts is excited to announce the implementation of two new MFA Performance tracks in Acting and Acting/Directing. These new tracks have been conceived with National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST) standards in mind and NAST accreditation will be hotly pursued in the immediate future. These degree tracks are designed to produce actors and directors ready to compete on a professional level. Both degree tracks are 63 credit hours (NAST minimum is 60 credit hours) and culminate with a Thesis/Creative Project. Two Acting/Directing students will be admitted in the fall of odd numbers calendar years (’03, ’05, ’07. etc). Acting students will be admitted each fall. The Communication and Performing Arts Complex houses two new state-of-the-art theatres, two laboratory spaces, and scene and costume shops as well. | |||
