: Independent Duty Corpsmen play a significant role in providing health care for servicemen and women and their families. Touro University International has joined the few universities who provide opportunities to complete a BS degree at the student's location with no residency requirement. The BS in Health Sciences-Health Care Management will provide IDC's the opportunity to enhance their knowledge base to obtain advanced educational credentials and to be eligible for promotion in the Navy. Touro University International developed a specifically tailored BS in Health Sciences-degree completion program for IDC's. The program is built on the strengths of the IDC program and provides a combination of opportunities to fulfill requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BSHS)- Health Care Management. IDCs who complete the course work for the degree will be prepared to continue their education in any Master's program, such as a Master of Science in Health Sciences, with a specialization in Public Health, or a Master of Science in Health Sciences, with a specialization in Health Care Management. |
