: As the new millennium began, the impact of a previous decade of unprecedented changes in public health and human services policy was under way. According the American Public Human Services Association, federal reforms in the 1990s provided greater authority to states. In turn, state administrators created new partnerships with local governments, community- and faith-based organizations and the private sector to design and deliver human services. Human services practitioners also face an increasingly diverse clientele, as delivery systems and client populations become more multicultural and include a broader range of complex issues.
The Ph.D. in Human Services will prepare you to serve at the forefront of the design and delivery of cutting-edge public services.
