: Health Care is a business, albeit a special one. Like other business, it needs good management to operate effectively. The term, Health Care Administrator encompasses individuals in many different positions who plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the delivery of Health Care.
Health Care Administrators set the overall direction of a medical facility. They are concerned with community outreach, planning, policy making, and complying with government agencies and regulations.
The goal of CSU's Health Care Administration degree program is to provide students with a solid foundation of knowledge regarding the health care industry, combined with the discipline to apply that knowledge in a professionally competent manner to advance the health of the local community. Emphasis is placed on building strong communications skills and organizational competence that highlight the effective health care administrator. This program does not offer a clinical or infield experience component. Its purpose is to provide a broad educational background to those already working in the health care field. |
