| Description |
: Taking the best of all AMU undergraduate majors, the Interdisciplinary Studies degree enables working adult students who might have a significant amount of transfer credit from life, work, or former academic experience to apply it towards a bonafide Bachelor of Arts degree. It is also a good choice for those students who may not know, or may not want to select, which major is for them. Such students will "get a little of everything" AMU has to offer. Flexible in scope, this degree provides the greatest amount of choice among all AMU undergraduate degrees; it gives students the opportunity to concentrate in more than one area of their choice from among the other majors, and it still leaves some room for the pursuit of electives. This degree has been structured in accordance with proven undergraduate liberal arts curriculum. A graduate from this program will develop his or her writing skills, critical thinking skills, and problem solving abilities. They will show breadth in their knowledge from more than one area of specialty, thus making themselves attractive to employers in more than one functional area. |
