: The Master of Arts in Global Engagement degree, and any courses designated “GE,” are offered as an American Public University degree and courses in partnership with the Institute for Global Engagement. The Master of Arts in Global Engagement and any “GE” courses have a theological underpinning. The degree and the “GE” courses are made available to enhance students’ understanding of issues - among them religion and theology - that influence world events but are sometimes not adequately covered in traditional graduate curricula. American Public University System makes the degree and courses available through the American Public University as voluntary degree and/or course options under other degrees as specified in other respective degree paths. Selecting the Master of Arts in Global Engagement or one of the “GE” courses is acknowledgement by the student that he/she is aware of the religious and theological underpinning of the curriculum. As a matter of policy, the American Public University System does not endorse or espouse any particular theology or religion. |
