Name	: Master of Arts in Military Studies - Joint Warfare
Program	: Public Services
Description	: This degree is the study of modern joint warfare operations, leadership, and management. Focusing on the military opportunities, changes, and challenges wrought since the Goldwater-Nichols Department of Defense Reorganization Act of 1986, students will learn of the theory, practice, planning, implementation, command and control, and overarching military philosophy that pervades today’s joint military environment. Going beyond the specific joint military community, students will also research the military’s ability to interact with other elements of national and international power, to include other militaries, non-military public agencies, and non-governmental organizations. Students have the opportunity to focus their studies in one of four distinct areas related to joint, interagency, and/or government/non-government operations: joint warfare operations, national military affairs, homeland security studies, and peacekeeping operations.
