: The Master of Arts in Political Science is a social science degree. Students learn about politics and study administration, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, public law, and methodology. The program has a large number of diverse subjects that focus on current US issues and areas such as Europe, the Middle East, the post-communist societies, Asia, peace and conflict, and lessons from the Holocaust. The subjects covered deal with broad issues of social and economic change, and require the development of a variety of research skills used in political analysis. Graduates of this program are prepared for careers in government such as public management, administration of justice, and military service. They are also equipped to pursuing elected positions. Graduates from political science programs also are found in various other professions involved in large organizations with extensive internal networks requiring skills in dealing with and managing people. |
