The Collaborative Teacher Education Program (CTEP) allows students who have completed an associate of arts degree to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a K–8 Teaching Certificate through Washington State University Pullman. The Bachelor of Arts in Human Development focuses on teaching about individuals and families across the lifespan. Of particular interest is understanding how individuals and families are linked to their communities. The program centers on understanding the complexities associated with life crises. Students learn how to work with children, teens, and older family members as they cope with life changes. Each student in the program will undertake a supervised internship in a local community setting. Human Development graduates are employed as Head Start coordinators, domestic violence case workers, YMCA program managers, and in a variety of state and federal programs serving children and the elderly.

Description
A BS degree in Physical Education and Health (Health Studies concentration only) is available to you at a distance. The major requires 30 hours in the core and 30 more in the health studies concentration for a total major requirement of 60 credits. Coursework involves some Individualized Study, Computer Conferencing classes using FirstClass software, videos, and Web-based activities.
