Name	: Current Procedural Terminology Coding with Lab

Program Detail	: Students in this course expand their knowledge of clinical classification systems through presentation of principles of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) applied to code outpatient procedures. During lab exercises, students assign procedure codes, and apply guidelines for assigning Evaluation and Management (E/M) codes and modifiers to case examples. In addition, the Health Care Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) is reviewed, and application of coding principles to electronic record systems is explored.
