Program Detail	: This course addresses mechanical properties of bone, muscle and soft tissue. Topics include static and dynamic analysis of human movement tasks such as locomotion, and build on students' knowledge of mechanics and control theory. Design of orthotic/prosthetic devices and orthopedic implants, is covered, as is rehabilitation engineering. Lab exercises involve biomechanics simulation, kinetic analysis, computer-based data acquisition and analysis, and testing of dry bones and soft tissues.
