Topics include static and dynamic analysis of human movement tasks such as locomotion, and build on students' knowledge of mechanics and control theory. Design of orthotic/prosthetic devices and orthopedic implants, is covered, as is rehabilitation engineering. Lab exercises involve biomechanics simulation, kinetic analysis, computer-based data acquisition and analysis, and testing of dry bones and soft tissues. | |||
