Resource planning, cost estimating, cost budgeting and cost control are emphasized. Activity-based costing, pricing strategies and profitability are addressed. Current approaches to cost control such as life cycle costing and just-in-time (JIT) are included. Internet and library research competencies are developed, as are spreadsheet and presentation software skills.
