| Program Detail | : This course is intended for students making a transition from C to Java. An object-oriented approach is taken towards data structures and algorithms. Core features of the Java language are covered. Data structures covered include arrays, vectors, lists, stacks, queues, and files. Algorithms covered include sorting, searching and general management of data structures. Most of the programming will take place in a UNIX environment using standard editors for writing code and the JDK for compiling and running programs. Both application and applet programming will be covered. | |||
