: This course is designed for persons interested in a medical assisting career. It is an introduction to diagnostic procedures routinely performed in the physician's office laboratory setting. Student will learn to perform electrocardiography on patients, specimen collection, routine urinalysis, and body fluid analysis. Federal laboratory guidelines and laboratory safety will be presented. This course will also cover the principles of radiology. |
