It is designed specifically for the intellectual advancement of military enlisted students who are in or seek positions of leadership. Course topics include naval duty in the Civil War, both World Wars, and through several historical conflicts as viewed from the same vessel. The course?s content is drawn from leading naval historical texts on the official Chief Petty Officer of the Navy?s Reading List. Course texts include: Ringle, Life in Mr. Lincoln?s Navy; Stanton, In Harm?s Way; Spector, At War, At Sea; and Omori, Quiet Heroes. The course is open to any interested student. | |||
