| Program Detail | : This course is an interactive course designed to help students achieve a greater understanding of basic mathematical concepts. This course provides a review of the basic arithmetical operations and puts them into their proper mathematical context. In addition, it introduces geometry, statistics and probability, real numbers and algebra. Throughout the course, there is careful attention to the presentation of concepts that will become important in the study of later mathematics courses such as algebra, analytic geometry and trigonometry. Emphasis is on the fundamentals of mathematics to ease the transition into the beginning college level mathematics courses. At the same time, it provides students a solid understanding of the powerful tools of basic mathematics for their own practical application. | |||
