| Program Detail | : This course will examine the environmental permitting process from three points of view: that of the applicant, that of the permit granting agency, and that of the public. The issue of standing will be considered. Students will survey the process of applying for each of the major types of environmental permits: air, NPDES (water), storm water, solid waste, hazardous waste, and coastal development. Then they will consider the role of the public and the permitting agency in each type of permit. Varying concepts of permit fees will be considered. | |||
