| Program Detail | : This course is a study and analysis of the history of Latin America. The course consists of a broad-brush survey of the Latin American region, and then hones in on the student's particular interest in the subject: social, political, historical, military, economic or pure history. The subject is viewed from a journalist's perspective (Latin America 2002 by Robert T. Buckman), which details the history of LATAM with a touch of journalistic jingo, and is cross-referenced with WWW-based sites to present a balanced view. The student can focus research on areas of their personal expertise, or branch out into one of many topics in this mysterious and ever-changing region.
