The use of computers, computerized databases, and those placed on CDs and DVDs are also explained. Some necessary material is presented illustrating the role of politics that have determined which programs appear to be favored by public funding and exposure in the media. The content is presented in both the historical and present-day perspectives, to give the student the clarity for why we have what we have today. Last, statistics are presented that will show the efficacy of different programs in relation to their initial goals. | |||
