This course will acquaint the student with law enforcement's use and future plans for technology. Students will discover how law enforcement uses the new information technologies to improve problem solving, decision making, communications, and public relations. Specific topics include mobile computing, enhanced 911 systems, computer aided dispatch, global positioning systems, computer crime mapping, automated records management systems, digitized data, and other technologies and uses of technology to assist law enforcement. | |||
