| Program Detail | : Special operations have long been an important force multiplier, but only with World War II were they systematically organized and manned in such fashion as to become a viable part of normal mission planning and execution. Using recent illustrations, we explore this process and grapple with the questions it poses to gain a general understanding of the nature of special operations forces and of their modes of employment, to be introduced to the essential history of special operations forces and their recent employment and to grapple with questions of employment and assessment of success when using special operations forces. | |||
