| Program Detail | : Introduction to amphibious warfare from its earliest conception as a means of overall military strategy to its refinement as an innovative tool of operational maneuver in today's high-tech military environment. Examines specific campaigns, tracing amphibious warfare's development from the ancient Greek-Persian wars through World War II, Vietnam and Desert Storm. Major student project will be to analyze an amphibious operation and present findings. This course has been evaluated by the American Council on Education. Credit Recommendation - at the upper level/baccalaureate degree level 3 semester hours in History. | |||
