| Program Detail | : This is the second half of a two-semester course in American Government. (SS121 American Government I is a prerequisite to taking this course.) This semester will continue to investigate the philosophical and historical foundations of our national government with emphasis on the legislative and judicial branches. The origins and workings of the U.S. Congress will be examined, and the role and function of the court system will be analyzed with particular emphasis on the Supreme Court. This course has been evaluated by the American Council on Education. Credit Recommendation - at the lower division Baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in American Government. | |||
