: This course examines integration of technology with business and organizational realities, highlighting areas of leadership, business models, organizational change, roles and responsibilities, and organizational norms. Learners begin to understand the organizational/business requirements necessary to develop technology and to be able to more effectively lead the development and adoption of new enterprise-wide systems within the organization. IT professionals must understand the organizational aspects as they architect/develop new IT systems or they run the risk of developing systems that will never be adopted. This course focuses on managing a technology that already exists. Through a case study method, this course incorporates an analysis of organizational culture, an important first step in the technology adoption process. |
