Learners consider video systems, Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, wireless systems, satellite communications, Internet and the World Wide Web, cable networks, and voice and data communications. Learners will also be introduced to Frame Relay, DSL, ATM, SONET, and the OSI Model. The course will focus on understanding the impact of network technologies on the performance of web-based applications, including security, privacy, and reliability. Learners completing this course will develop competencies associated with the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification.
