: Learn how to speak Spanish at home using a fun, creative medium. Through a combination of multimedia materials and online interactions with instructors and virtual classmates, you'll hunt for treasure using the "Tesoros" ("Treasures") five-disk CD-ROM interactive program and book. Two Web-based materials track your progress and provide additional cultural readings, as well as resources, activities and a testing bank. You'll develop oral comprehension skills with a variety of Spanish accents from Spain and Latin America, read authentic texts, practice writing and complete a first-year grammar and vocabulary sequence. You'll also explore the cultures of 21 countries that make up the Spanish-speaking world. This course consists of the first five lessons from the CD-ROM. Plan to spend 10 hours a week on this course. |
