| Program Detail | : Designed for students who have a solid grasp of the basic principles of feature-length scriptwriting and have written at least one complete screenplay, this intermediate workshop launches serious writers into the process of creating their next, more viable and sophisticated screenplay. Instruction focuses on developing a premise that can sustain an entire script, creating and refining a full story outline, and writing the first act. Brief lectures on craft issues, generated by the demands and requirements of the participants' work, as well as attention to each writer's individual vision, also are key to the course. The workshop format ensures that students benefit from developing their projects in a supportive environment where they help to solve their peers' writing problems--and thus their own. | |||
