| Program Detail | : For students wishing to focus on the short story form, this workshop provides experience with close textual analysis and intensive writing practice--each student writes two short stories and one revision. After reading brief weekly lectures about issues of short story technique, including setting, dialogue, and structure, participants develop their understanding of these techniques by analyzing fellow students' works-in-progress as well as published short stories. Strategies for approaching the marketplace also are discussed. | |||
