This course introduces the development of applications software within a windowed environment, such as Microsoft Windows or X Windows. Concepts of the programming of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) in general and technical details of a specific application programming interface (API) are presented. Using C++, students complete several modest windows programs and one integrative project. The course forms a foundation for continued, independent learning. |
