The course includes identifying the factors a program or institution needs to take into consideration before designing, developing, and implementing an online curriculum. The focus is on determining a department's readiness in terms of possibly adding an online program to their current on-site offerings; determining critical success factors, such as key personnel, technology choices, and target audience; and developing a Budget and Planning (B&P) Proposal, with cost justification and timetables, to move forward with a program.
