This course employs lecture, case study, and class discussion to explore various aspects of project contracts, including types of contractual arrangements and fee options, the elements of project contracts and their purposes, and contract points and contract management examined from both owner and contractor perspectives. The course is broadly applicable, with relevance to such diverse fields as computer software, architecture, engineering, and construction. To maximize the course's relevance to actual work situations, students are encouraged to raise questions and issues from their own work experience in the online message board discussion. This course is a new requirement for the Certificate Program in Project Management.
