The College of Pharmacy offers a professional curriculum for a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.). The Doctor of Pharmacy degree is a four-year professional program offered in Gainesville, Jacksonville, Orlando and St. Petersburg.
The Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum offered by faculty on the Gainesville campus will be reproduced in an asynchronous format for students in the off-campus sites. Faculty at the off-campus sites will facilitate discussion groups, administer examinations, answer questions, and provide instruction as needed to supplement the distance education program. Graduates of the Doctor of Pharmacy program will perform functions consistent with the elements described in the categories for patient care functions and education of health professionals and the public published in the Standards of Practice established by the American Pharmaceutical Association/American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. Pharmacists who complete this program will meet the same terminal performance objectives as students who complete the College’s ‘traditional’ Doctor of Pharmacy program.
