| This online program allows Registered Nurses (RNs) who qualify to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). The courses are Internet-based, while the clinical requirements are satisfied by working with a professional nurse (preceptor) at a Florida healthcare or community facility convenient to each student. Students who live in the Ft. Myers, Marianna, Lake City, St. Petersburg, or Tallahassee areas work at specific locations with the course instructor to meet the clinical requirements. How will this program prepare you for the changing health care system? The School of Nursing has redesigned its curriculum in recognition of recent changes, including: - The emphasis on preventive health care - The increase in ethnically diverse and aging populations - The incorporation of technology into all levels of service Your preparation would include viewing the recipients of health care within the context of their population group and providing preventative, restorative, and rehabilitative care in a wide variety of settings.
