Description

The Master of Divinity (M.Div) is the standard professional degree for ministry and is 90 hours. A student can use all 45 hours from the M.A.R. towards the M.Div upon completion of the M.A.R., so we usually recommend that students who want the M.Div. complete the M.A.R. first. Both M.A.R. and M.Div. allow for concentrations (15 hours) in areas such as church growth, pastoral counseling, or worship studies.

Many students in this program are in their 30’s or 40’s, and are presently in a non-ministry profession, but sense God’s call to ministry and are therefore persuing a second career. Others are presently in ministry but never received seminary training. Others are in ministry and started their training at their denominated school, but took a church before completing the M.Div., and therefore transfer their work from a previous seminary and use our school to complete their degree.
