Mount Saint Mary's University is a private, liberal arts, Catholic university located on a 1,400 acre campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland. It was founded in 1808 and is the oldest independent Catholic college in the United States. It has approximately 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students. 63% of the undergraduates come from Maryland and 34% from other Mid-Atlantic States, while 27 total states are represented. The school became co-educational in 1977. In addition to its undergraduate school, the university includes five graduate programs.
Undergraduate annual tuition is $21,430, and total expenses are $29,320. Approximately 90% of students receive some sort of financial aid.
On June 7, 2004 Mount Saint Mary's College and Seminary changed its official name to Mount Saint Mary's University. |
