The University of Louisville (mascot: the Cardinal) is a public, state-supported university located in Louisville, Kentucky. It consists of a liberal arts college, the J. B. Speed School of Engineering, a law school, a medical school, and several others. Most facilities are located on the 274 acre (1.1 km?) Belknap Campus three miles (5 km) from downtown Louisville. Enrollment in Fall 2003 was 21,464.
