Goshen College is a Mennonite liberal arts college in Goshen, Indiana with an enrollment of around 1,000 students. It was founded in 1894 in Elkhart, Indiana as the Elkhart Institute. The campus was moved to Goshen in 1904 and the name was changed to Goshen College.
Goshen's Study Service Term (SST), probably it's best known program, takes students overseas for three months for a term split between study of the country's language and culture and voluntary service. The program was pioneering when it was founded in 1968 before study abroad programs became wide spread.
Interestingly, Goshen tends to maintain a steady 60/40 ration of women to men. |
