Avondale College is a Seventh-day Adventist tertiary education provider, with three campuses, the primary campus situated in Cooranbong, NSW, Australia. Avondale has two other campuses, one at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, and one in Thailand.
Avondale College primarily focuses in the areas of teaching, theology, and nursing, but also offers degrees in business, and the arts. The nursing program commences at the Cooranbong campus for one semester then moves to the Sydney Adventist Hospital. Masters level degrees are offered in theology, education, and some business related fields.
Avondale College is an institution under the South Pacific Division of Seventh-day Adventists.
Avondale College was founded in 1896. It was initially called the Australasian Missionary College. There are a number of historic buildings on the Avondale site. These include Bethel Hall and College Hall, both of which are unique two storey wooden buildings. |
