Bowling Green State University (BGSU) is a public, four-year institution located in Bowling Green, Ohio, USA; about 20 miles south of Toledo, Ohio on I-75. It was established in 1910; as of 2003 it boasts a student body of about 20,200. It offers over 200 undergraduate programs, as well as master's and doctoral degrees in a variety of areas. In sports, BGSU is a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA); its mascot is the falcon. The student operated, independent daily newspaper is the BG News. BGSU's campus dormitory, McDonald Hall, is the setting for web comic Mac Hall.
