The Universit? du Qu?bec is a system of ten provincially-run public universities in Quebec, Canada. Its headquarters are in Quebec City.
The university has over 76,000 students, making it the largest university in the province, and offers more than 300 programs. It was created in 1968 by an act of Quebec's National Assembly.
The component institutions are:

- the Universit? du Qu?bec en Abitibi-T?miscamingue (UQAT), with campuses in Val-d'Or, Rouyn-Noranda, and other towns;
- the Universit? du Qu?bec en Outaouais (UQO), in Gatineau;
- the Universit? du Qu?bec ? Trois-Rivi?res (UQTR), in Trois-Rivi?res;
- the Universit? du Qu?bec ? Chicoutimi (UQAC), in Saguenay;
- the Universit? du Qu?bec ? Rimouski (UQAR), in Rimouski;
- the ?cole de technologie sup?rieure (ETS), in Montreal;
- the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS), in Quebec City and greater Montreal;
- the ?cole nationale d'administration publique (ENAP), in Montreal, Quebec City, Gatineau, Trois-Rivi?res, and Saguenay; and
- the T?l?-Universit? or l'Universit? ? distance (TELUQ), a correspondence school headquartered in Quebec City and Montreal. |
