Swinburne University of Technology is a small university based over a number of campuses in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.
As well as degree programs, the university also operates as a technical college offering shorter certificate programs.
It operates research programs in several areas. Whilst lacking the broad coverage of the larger Melbourne universities, it is quite strong in specialized areas such as radio astronomy and "molecular simulation", an area of materials science.
The University has campuses in numerous parts of Melbourne including Croydon, Hawthorn, Prahran, Lilydale, Wantirna, and Healesville. There is also an international campus in Sarawak, Malaysia. The Swinburne website features a Virtual Tour of their campuses with photos and 3D maps. |
