Drew University is a private university affiliated with the United Methodist Church, located in Madison, New Jersey. It was founded in 1867 as a Methodist seminary, becoming a liberal arts college in 1928. Some of its top undergraduate programs include psychology, English, literature, and theatre arts. The university is also home to the well-respected Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, formerly known as the "New Jersey Shakespeare Festival."
There are about 1,500 undergraduate and 700 graduate students. After Princeton University and Stevens Institute of Technology, it is considered one of the top private colleges in New Jersey. |
