The California State University, Fullerton, often referred to as Cal State Fullerton, is a part of the California State University System located in Fullerton, California.
Established in 1957 as Orange County State College, it was renamed Orange State College in 1962, then California State College at Fullerton in 1964, followed by California State College, Fullerton in 1968 and was given its present name in 1972.
The university's mascot is the Titan.
It is the home of the first Intercollegiate Elephant Races and a four-time College World Series winning baseball team (1979 College World Series, 1984 College World Series, 1995 College World Series, and 2004 College World Series).
One of its most famous alumni is actor Kevin Costner.
